Move an Entity in Scenario Mode
In Scenario mode, the Move option repositions either a specific entity within the group or all the children of an entity within the group.

The Scenario mode option is available to clients with a Professional or Enterprise package. Contact your Customer Success Manager to learn more.

Run a group structure and select Visualisation.
Refer to Run a group structure to learn more about this feature.
- Select the Scenarios icon from your toolbar.

Select Ok in the Open scenario mode dialog.
A yellow banner displays on top of the Entities page to indicate that you are in scenario mode.
Note
Selecting the X in the banner will close the scenario mode.

Select the entity you want to move.
There are three ways you can do this:

Select the entity on the Groups Structure chart.

Enter the name in the Select an entity field in the side panel on the right.

Select an entity name from the list that appears when Select an entity is selected.

Select Choose an action > Move from the menu.
When you run the group structure, the structure type you select in the Show field influences the direction of the Move action.
- Go to the Move <option> list and select the entity you want to establish the relationship with.

Under Children options / Parent options select what happens to the entity's "children/parents". In some instances, you may have no options other than a default option.
Note
The options that are presented to you after you have selected the action and the entity you want to establish the new relationship with depends on the following:

If the entity has any "child" entities.

If the entity has any "parent" entities.
Example: On a structure below chart when the entity has no "children" only the Move entity will be available.
The table below is an example of what you will see for a Structure below group structure chart.
Option Description Move entity Move the entity under the selected entity. Move entity and children Move the entity and all its children under the selected entity. If the entity's children have children and those children have children and so on, they are all moved as well. Move entity and leave children Move the entity under the selected entity and leave its children as children of the previous parent entity. Move children and leave entity Move all children of the entity under the specified entity and leave the entity where it is. -
- Select Apply, review your choices in the Move dialog and select Save.
