Filter the visualised group structure

The filters in the Edit Panel in Group Visualisation allow you to display entities in the structure chart that meet the specified criteria.

The Filter option is available to clients with a Professional or Enterprise package. Contact your Customer Success Manager to learn more.

  1. Run a group structure and select Visualisation.

    Refer to Run a group structure to learn more about how to run a group structure.

  2. In the Edit Panel, select the Filters filters tab.

  3. Select Add a filter and select a filter from the list.

    After you select the required filter, the panel updates to display an additional field or multiple fields, depending on the selection.

  4. Specify the details of the filter.

    Depending on the filter you select, you may need to select an operator from a list, provide a value, or both. To learn more about how the different operators work, refer to Operators.

  5. (Optional) To add more filters, repeat steps 3. and 4.

    When you have at least two filters set up, use the AND-OR switch at the bottom of the Edit Panel to define how the filters relate to each other. By default, the switch is set to AND which means entities that meet all the filter conditions display in the chart. If you want the system to display any entities that meet any of the filter conditions, change the toggle to OR.

  6. When you're done setting up the filters, select Apply.

    The structure updates to display a subset of the entity boxes based on the filters you set up.

Note

You might see greyed-out entity boxes in the group structure chart. These boxes do not meet the filter conditions, but are included because their subsidiaries match the filter conditions. You can expand such entities to reveal the subsidiaries by selecting them.

You can remove any of the filters as well as any or all values of a specific filter by selecting the X against the relevant filter or value.
