Set Details to Display in Entity Boxes

On the Attributes tab in the Edit Panel in Group Structure Visualisation, you can define what details are to display in the entity boxes in the chart for the different entity types.

Note

The Attributes option is available to clients with a Professional or Enterprise package. Contact your Customer Success Manager to learn more.

You can define what details the system displays in the entity boxes in the visualised group structure for the following items provided that they are included in the group structure chart:

  • Company
  • Appointment
  • Branch
  • Registration in jurisdiction
  • Doing business as
  • Also known as
  • Other parent
  • Alternate control

To define the details to display in the entity boxes:

  1. Run a group structure and select Visualisation.

Refer to Run a group structure to learn more about how to run a group structure.

  2. In the Edit Panel, select the Attributes attributes tab.

On the Attributes tab, the different attribute groups such as Company Attributes display. Company attributes always display by default. The rest of the attributes only display if the corresponding options are selected in Group Structure:

    • Appointment attributes display if the Include Appointments option is selected

    • Branch attributes show if the Include Branches option is enabled

    • Registration in jurisdiction attributes display if the Include registrations in jurisdictions option is selected

    • Doing business as attributes show if the Include "Doing Business As" option is enabled

    • Also known as attributes display if the Include "Also Known As" option is selected

    • Other parent attributes show if the Get all other parents/owners option is enabled

    • Alternate control attributes display if the Include Alternate Control Relationships option is selected

For more information about these options, refer to Group Structure Options.

    Note

The type of attributes available in attributes are in turn available in the Type attribute in conditional formatting. For example, if Alternate Control attributes are available, Alternate Control is an option that can be selected in Type in conditional formatting.

Two numbers display in brackets next to each attribute group. The first one indicates the number of attributes already added and the second one is the maximum number of attributes that you can add. Entity boxes automatically increase or decrease in size depending on the number of attributes you added for the entity. Thus, you can make the chart more compact by adding less attributes to display in the entity boxes.

  3. Select an attribute group.

For example, to display additional information for companies, select Company Attributes; to define details to display for registrations in jurisdictions, select Registrations in Jurisdictions Attributes and so on.

  4. Select Add an attribute and select the attribute to display in the relevant entity boxes.

For example, under Company Attributes, select Company Status from the Add an attribute list.

You can also remove attributes from any of the groups by selecting the x next to the attribute. For example, select x next to Interest under Company Attributes to remove it.

    Tip

If you included appointments in the group structure, you can make the appointments display in the entity boxes by selecting the Appointees or Roles attributes in Company Attributes.

  5. (Optional) Repeat step 3 and step 4 to add any attributes to or remove any attributes from any of the attribute groups.

    For example, add Company Type.

  6. (Optional) Change the order of the attributes by using the arrows next to them.

The order of the attributes defines the order in which they display in the entity boxes.

  7. Select Apply to update the chart.

  8. (Optional) Select the Ownership tab and make sure the Cluster additional data option is unselected.

Additional data such as registrations in jurisdictions or branches displays clustered by default. After you clear this option, the chart updates to include each piece of additional data in its own entity box. For more information refer to Ownership Options in Group Structure Visualisation.

The chart updates to display the selected details in the entity boxes in the order you specified.
